Paving the Way for Future
The special issue aims at presenting main advances in the field of biomaterials and new strategies for improving biomaterials and/or devices in combination with advanced technologies, with the final goal to improve the disease outcomes and patients’ health. In particular, this special issue covers but is not limited to such topics as biomaterials science, multidisciplinary approaches, smart biomimetic materials, multifunctional materials, bioactive materials, bioactive glasses, innovative nanomaterials, biodegradable materials, 3D-printing, scaffolds, coatings, cements, nanoparticles, nanoscale instrumentation and methods, laser treatment and fabrication, surface modification, material-cell interactions, gene-activating materials, regenerative medicine, hard and soft tissue regeneration, biomedical implants, in vitro studies, in vivo investigations, pre-clinical studies, clinical translation, clinical applications. Scientists and clinicians are called to submit manuscripts, and multidisciplinary contributions are encouraged.
