Ventilation for Better Industrial Built Environment

Ventilation principles and technologies for industrial occasions are highly different from those for residential buildings, and usually vary from case to case. To ensure the thermal, hygienic or cleaning requirements of the various manufacturing and production process, industrial ventilation need to consider more influencing factors, in terms of ventilation rate, air distribution, local exhaust, pollutants capturing, particle filtering, gas absorption, etc. This special issue gathers recent studies of how to improve industrial ventilation efficiency and reduce the energy consumption. It also aims to collect representative cases and provide general routines for better industrial built environment.
