Sustainable Materials and Energy Efficient Processes for CO2 Capture and Utilization

Efficient CO2 capture and conversion to value-added products (including carbon-based fuels, polymers, and chemicals) is the need of the present day to solve the energy issues. This topic is timely and will help to favorably turn a compound from a threat to the environment into useful energy for long term sustainability. Sustainable nanomaterials and energy efficient processes for CO2 capture and utilization are necessary in this perspective, particularly in view of reducing the cost of CO2 utilization and storage.

This special issue is intended to present novel, high quality, original research articles as well as review articles/short communication focused on developing sustainable materials and energy efficient processes for CO2 capture and utilization.

Contributions of all types of articles are free of charge and are not levied on authors.

Potential possible topics include, but are not limited to:

  1. Preparation, characterization, and applications of superior nanomaterials and processes for CO2 capture
  2. Design, synthesis, and performance assessment of different catalysts and processes for CO2 conversion to value-added products
  3. Integration of renewable energy harvesting and generation with CO2 conversion for carbon-neutral energy production and storage
  4. Computational and numerical simulation of nanomaterials and processes used in the capture and chemical conversion of CO2 and storage
  5. Engineering of nanomaterials and processes with reduced CO2 footprints and sustainability

Expected outcome

This special issue will publish at least 15-20 best papers in this issue under the guest editors.
