Mental Disorders and Neurodegenerative Diseases aims to publish work that advances the care of patients living with these conditions. The journal explores the epidemiology, etiology, pathological mechanisms, clinical diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders and neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases, with a particular focus on psychiatric, geriatric neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases.

It is devoted to reporting discoveries in psychiatry, neurology and clinical neuroscience that are relevant to understanding the brain-based disorders of patients. Areas covered include:

  • Drug discovery
  • Drug targets
  • Cognitive and behavioral symptoms

All submissions undergo a rigorous peer review process and papers addressing a broad range of mental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases will be considered. These include, but are not limited to:
