Special Issue on Earth Observations for Geohazards

Geohazards, such as volcanoes, earthquakes, landslides and land subsidence, claim hundreds of lives and cause huge economic losses every year. In the last few decades, rapidly-developing Earth observation (EO) techniques have been widely used in the investigation, monitoring, early warning and assessment of geohazards. For example, satellites and air and ground-based sensors, coupled with advanced processing techniques and algorithms, provide new means to investigate these hazards. For this special issue, we welcome innovative applications and methods of remote sensing, case studies, and applications and models concerning the use of EO methods.
