Job title: Project Manager

 

Location: KeAi Beijing Office

No. 16, North Street, Donghuangchenggen, Dongcheng District, Beijing

 

Purpose of the Job:

As Project Manager you effectively accomplish project objectives by planning, executing and evaluating project activities from (strategic) development phase to execution and evaluation.

                    

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Providing input to the strategic objectives and operational tactics of various projects, including the organization of scientific conferences and symposia
  • Developing and monitoring budgets for projects, including conferences
  • Negotiating vendor contracts (website design, logistics support, payment services, etc.) and monitoring progress on execution of agreements
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, e.g. publishers, finance department, conference committees, speakers and organizing regular meetings
  • Establishing and steering ad hoc support teams (e.g. of volunteers) if and where necessary to support projects
  • Reporting to management on progress of various projects

 

General Competencies:

  • Communication: excellent communication skills; able to understand and process information effectively, fluent in Mandarin and English, both speaking and writing;
  • Relationship management: establish and maintain excellent and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, e.g. conference committees, authors, editors
  • Organization: able to prioritize, effectively manage your own and others’ time and efficiently keep agenda’s
  • Finance: develop, monitor and report on project budgets
  • Teamwork: self-starter, can work independently, but collaborates well with colleagues and customers, flexible

 

General Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration and/or communications
  • Computer skills: Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • 2 - 5 years' professional experience
  • Experience working in an international company
  • Excellent Mandarin and English language skills (written and oral)
