Special Issue on Carbon and Energetic Materials
Published 15 April, 2021
The 21st century has been called the “Nano Century” with intensive research conducted in the areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The most outstanding feature of nanotechnology is that it has broken down barriers between various science and technology disciplines to create its own unique, multidisciplinary field. Carbon-based nanomaterials are versatile because they can be chemically combined with other carbon-based materials and with a range of elements to form strong covalent bonds. As a result, they exhibit excellent characteristics such as high strength, high density and hardness.
The goal of this virtual special issue is to highlight new trends and insights around the use of carbon-based nanomaterials to enhance the performance of energetic materials.
Topics Covered:
We welcome manuscripts dealing with the synthesis, characterisation and application of carbon-based nanomaterials for energetic materials.
