Virtual special issue on terahertz and millimetre wave components: measurements and applications

Published 17 August, 2021

Terahertz (0.3 – 10 THz) and millimetre waves (0.03 – 0.3 THz) are two, neighbouring EM wave spectral bands that provide many opportunities in the fields of military and civil industry. The development of associated components, including sources, detectors and sensors, has led to the use of these two bands in a wide range of real-life scenarios, including non-destructive testing (NDT), wireless communication, spectroscopy and biosensing.

The aim of this virtual special issue is to feature original papers from all fields of research and development related to these technologies. We welcome manuscripts that focus on their practical industrial and/or scientific applications.

Topics covered:

These include, but are not limited to:

  • Terahertz and millimetre wave sources, sensors and detectors
  • Terahertz and millimetre wave active and passive photonic components
  • Terahertz and millimetre wave non-destructive testing (NDT)
  • Terahertz and millimetre wave imaging
  • Terahertz and millimetre wave measurement technology
  • Terahertz and millimetre wave applications

Important deadlines:

  • Submission deadline: 28 February 2022

Submission instructions:

Please read the Guide for Authors before submitting. All articles should be submitted online; please select VSI: terahertz and millimetre wave components on submission.
