Call for young editorial board members of Energy Storage and Saving

Energy Storage and Saving (ENSS) is an international, interdisciplinary, open access journal that disseminates original research articles in the field of energy storage and energy saving. The aim of ENSS is to present new research results that are focused on promoting sustainable energy utilization, improving energy efficiency, and achieving energy conservation and pollution reduction. In September 2021, ENSS was selected into the Project of High Starting Point New Journals of China STEM Journal Excellence Action Plan.

In order to further improve the quality of ENSS, expand its international impact and provide a wider professional platform for young scholars, the editorial office is recruiting young editorial board members. This is an opportunity for young scholars to exchange ideas, comment on peer review and practice editorial board management.

Applicant requirements:

  • PhD or an associate professor title (or equivalent title)
  • Under the age of 45
  • High academic attainments (first or corresponding author of research papers on prestigious journals; principal investigator of high-level research projects)
  • Ability to organise manuscripts and special issues/special topics
  • Enthusiasm for the journal and its development
  • Ability to solicit andreview papers, plan special issues, publicise and promote the journal, etc.


  • Certificate of appointment awarded
  • Two-year appointment term with possible extension
  • Members and personal research achievements will be promoted on the journal homepage
  • Academic conferences organised by members and participated in will be prioritised with regard to special issue publication
  • Awards will be granted for contribution excellence
  • Outstanding contributions to the development of the journal will recognised by progression to the editorial board


  • Actively participate in peer review for the journals
  • Organise cutting-edge special issues and invite manuscripts from well-known research teams in relevant subject areas
  • Write or recommend at least one high-level manuscript each year during the appointment term period
  • Participate in academic exchange activities sponsored by the journal including the planning and organisation of relevant academic conferences
  • Actively promote the journal and work with the editorial officeon the development of the journal’s new media platform, including providing materials and ideas for research content and contacting relevant experts
  • Participate in the International Conference on Energy Storage and Saving (ICENSS) organisation
