Linas Balčiauskas: Ecologist with Ph.D. in zoology and Dr. Hab. in biology. Leading researcher and head of the Laboratory of Mammalian Ecology, Nature Research Centre, Lithuania.
Research trends: hoofed, semi-aquatic, carnivore and small mammal ecology, threatened species, large carnivores, population management, biodiversity and ecological diversity, road ecology, human dimensions of wildlife and citizen science. Authored and co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed papers (81 indexed in WoS), over 20 books and chapters. Participated over 70 national and international conferences with ca. 200 presentations.
