2nd editorial board meeting of Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine (GOCM)

The second editorial board meeting of Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine (GOCM) was successfully held on 13 February 2022. In total, 47 editorial board members, publishing partners and editorial office members from China, the United States, Japan, South Korea and Austria, participated in the online meeting.

 

Professor Xiuli Sun, from Peking University People's Hospital, started the meeting and Professor Jianliu Wang, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, also from Peking University People's Hospital, delivered a keynote speech with the theme of "Together for a shared future", which is the official motto of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games. Prof. Wang provided an overview of GOCM in 2021 and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the journal’s editorial board members, contributors and reviewers, for their tremendous support of the journal. He went on to introduce the publication plan for 2022, focusing but not limited the hot topics of genecology oncology, pelvic medicine, maternal-fetal health and reproductive medicine. Wei Ye, KeAi journal’s publisher, gave a performance summary of the journal for 2021.

Hot topic discussions

  • Gynecological oncology: HPV-associated and independent tumors, multi-center large sample screening and HPV vaccine in China.
  • Pelvic medicine: Surgical treatment of OAB/LUTS, transvaginal mesh,native tissue repair, non-operative treatment of vaginal laxity as well as pelvic floor reconstruction.
  • Maternal fetal health: Early-onset preeclampsia, drug treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and prenatal diagnosis.
  • Reproductive medicine: Individualised treatment options and clinical progression for patients with low prognosis, also the role of muti-disciplinary treatment (MDT) on infertility.
