Special issue on application of materials and energy in carbon neutrality technology

Published 26 November, 2021

With the development of social economy, the quantity of biomass waste rises sharply, causing serious environmental pollution. There has been much research on the topic of carbon neutrality technology of biomass waste recycling and utilisation, mainly focusing on thermal conversion, anaerobic and aerobic technologies. These technologies have the ability to transform recyclable materials from biomass wastes into various solid, liquid and gas fuels, which help to alleviate energy shortages and environmental pollution.

This special issue will feature recent research carried out in these fields. The goal is to present novel, high-quality, original research articles, as well as review articles, short communications and letters focused on the application of materials and energy in carbon neutrality technology.

Topics covered:

  • Energy generated by thermal conversion
  • Application of materials in thermal conversion
  • Application of materials in an anaerobic process
  • Anaerobic conversion technology
  • Application of materials in an aerobic process
  • Aerobic conversion technology
  • Bio-energy and materials
  • Environmentally-friendly materials
  • Resource recovery technology
  • Green energy development
  • Biomass energy
  • Biomass materials
  • Renewable energy
