Introduction:

The 2nd International Conference and Exhibition on Corrosion and Surface Protection for Steel (CASP 2022) will be held online on 25 and 26 May 2022. CASP conferences are organised by the Turkish Constructional Steelwork Association (TUCSA) in coordination with the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS). The conference will cover all aspects of corrosion science and engineering, along with steel and other relevant material protection. Main topics will include advances in corrosion prevention, corrosion monitoring, corrosion-resistant materials, surface treatment and coatings, inspection and non-destructive testing, electrochemical methods, analytical techniques and microscopy, and corrosion inhibitors. In addition, relations between corrosion and the emission of greenhouse gases and their impact on global warming will be covered.
Topics covered:
The special issue will feature review and the research articles that focus on the following topics:
- Marine corrosion of constructional steel
- Underground corrosion of constructional steel
- Atmospheric corrosion of constructional steel
- Corrosion of rebar in reinforced concrete structures
- Corrosion of pipelines, tanks and underground systems
- Corrosion of drinking and waste water systems
- Corrosion Inhibitors
- Metallic coatings
- Galvanising of constructional steel
- Corrosion in oil and gas production
Submission Instructions:
Please read the Guide for Authors before submitting. All articles should be submitted online; please select SI: CASP 2022 on submission. All submissions will undergo a normal peer-review process. If the manuscript is accepted, the article will be published open access with no fee payable by the author.
