Published 31 July, 2019

The Global Chinese Medical Association of Scientists and Scholars (GCMASS) was established in 2019 in Australia. It is the overseas branch of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, an organisation that has been officially approved by and registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. GCMASS was founded by Prof. Wei Wang of Edith Cowan University in Australia.

The aim of GCMASS is to unite Chinese scientists and scholars worldwide who are working on related medical research and practices. It also hopes to promote the generation, flow and application of medical science knowledge, and connect medical services, scientific research and clinical teaching with the power of multidisciplinary integration. The official journal for GCMASS is Translational Metabolic Syndrome Research, which is edited by two Editors-in-Chief; Prof. Wei Wang and Prof. Gordon Ferns from Brighton and Sussex Medical School, UK.
