HydroResearch – Regional Studies, Global Impact
HydroResearch is an international Open Access journal publishing original research papers, short communications, review articles and book reviews in the broader field of hydrology and hydrogeology.
The journal welcomes both regional and global studies on:
- all aspects related to the hydrological cycle
- interactions and inter-relationship between groundwater, surface water, snow and ice
- all hydrological processes including physical, chemical and biological
- groundwater flow and transport processes
- hydrological extremes and its impact
- natural and artificial water treatment (physical, chemical and biological)
- impact of climate extremes on hydrological processes
- effects of land-use changes on water resources
- hydrogeochemistry, controlling processes and modelling
- geological and anthropogenic contamination of water resources
- urban hydrology
- water management and policy issues
- application of statistical and remote sensing methods in water resources
- social and economic aspects of water resources management
Manuscripts providing new insights on the hydrological processes in a region, the development of new methods, and/or instrumentation and field-based research on pollution detection and treatment are welcome.
The journal encourages multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research.
