Special Issue on Crustal Deformation and Seismic Risk in East Asia

已发布 19 八月, 2020

Over the past 20 years, a large number of GPS observations have been carried out in East Asia. These provide us with a great opportunity to investigate crustal deformation and tectonic movement, as well as earthquake hazards and seismic risks all over the region, especially for areas like the Tibetan Plateau, Pamir Plateau, Himalaya, Tien Shan, Shanxi Rift, Baikal Rift and North China..

In this special issue of Geodesy and Geodynamics, we focus on the crustal deformation and seismic risk in East Asia inferred from GPS observations. We encourage submissions of reviews and original research articles focusing on a range of topics, including:

  • Current situation and future development of regional GNSS geodetic networks
  • Kinematics and dynamatics of regional crustal deformation
  • Tectonic movement and earthquake risk
  • Regional crustal strain and stress features
  • Fault deformation and mechanical properties
  • Co-seismic and post-seismic deformation of great earthquakes
