This journal is a peer reviewed, fully open access journal owned by Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, PetroChina. Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, PetroChina retain copyright of the overall compiled journal and the compiled issues. The article is universally and freely accessible via the internet in perpetuity, in an easily readable format immediately after publication.
To provide open access, this journal has an open access fee (also known as an Article Processing Charge, APC) which needs to be paid by the authors or on their behalf e.g. by their research funder or institution. The open access publication fee for this journal is USD 1000, plus taxes. All APCs for articles submitted to the journal before the 31 December 2024 will be fully waived. Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development, PetroChina pay for the publishing costs incurred by the journal.
