Luquan Ren is a Distinguished Professor at Jilin University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He also is the Director of the Academic Board of Key Laboratory of Bionic Engineering, Ministry of Education (China), the Emeritus President of International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE), the Vice President of the Asia Association for Agricultural Engineering (AAAE), the National Secretary for China of the International Society for Terrain-Vehicle Systems (ISTVS). His research interests include the basic theory and technology of bionic science and engineering, and the research and development of bionic equipment.
