Introduction: John Temesi has been an assistant professor in the Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation at Northumbria University since 2018. Previously, he completed his PhD at Universite Jean Monnet before moving to the University of Calgary as a post-doctoral fellow. His research investigates physiological, neurophysiological and neuromechanical aspects of fatigue and performance across the broad spectrum of humans, with a particular interest on both endurance/ultra-endurance exercise and in cancer populations. He also has a strong interest on the role of exercise interventions to improve physical function and quality of life, including the mitigation of both symptoms of chronic disease and side effects of chronic disease treatments.
