Introduction: Davison has extensive experience as an Exercise Scientist and Clinical Exercise Physiologist practitioner, academic administrator and educator, industry leader, and researcher. He is a past president of Exercise and Sports Australia and the inaugural Chair of the International Confederation of Sport and Exercise Science Practice (ICSESP). His professional and research interests include strengthening the quality and effectiveness of practice for exercise and sports science professionals and expanding recognition and practice opportunities in Australia and globally. His research has been largely in collaboration with industry to develop and test models of practice across the breadth of Exercise and Sport Science but predominantly in Clinical Exercise Physiology, including evaluating the use of technology to supplement practice. His outputs include systematic reviews and expert consensus studies to inform evidence-based practice, experimental work to expand practice evidence and narrative works to promote and guide practice.
