Special Issue on Collaborative Computing to Information Fusion for 5G IoT Social Data

Published 10 November, 2020

The prosperity of 5G IoT social data not only brings revolutionary changes to our daily lives, it also generates an enormous volume of data. How to handle that data has become an important problem. Collaborative computing can effectively foster shared thinking in a workforce, optimise productivity and, most importantly, encourage innovation. At the same time, the technology ‘Information Fusion’ is playing an increasingly important role in helping us understand data, information and resources. Therefore, applying collaborative computing to Information Fusion is a useful method for managing 5G IoT social data; for example, it supports big data mining and analysis for online social community discovery, information diffusion through social networks, sentiment analysis and opinion mining, social event detection and trend prediction. It also influences maximisation in social media.

For this special issue, we welcome submissions focusing on major advances in collaborative computing technologies for the processing of, or Information Fusion on, 5G IoT social data.

Topics Covered:

  • Collaborative computing architecture/algorithms application for 5G IoT social data analysis
  • The Information Fusion applications for IoT, Edge computing, and CPS monitoring
  • Heterogeneous multi-modal computing for 5G IoT social data mining
  • Natural language processing and applications for 5G IoT social data
  • Big data and intelligent visualisation of 5G IoT social data
  • Time series analysis of 5G IoT social data
  • Data analytics and decision automation based on 5G IoT social data
  • Social data mining for the recommendation based on 5G IoT social data
  • Privacy problems in 5G IoT social data
  • Trust and information credibility in 5G IoT social data
  • Intrusion detection/prevention in 5G IoT social data
  • Privacy and personal data protection using collaborative computing
