Global Health Journal (GHJ) is a quarterly publication in English. It publishes peer-reviewed research papers from disciplines within and beyond the Health Sciences.

People's medical publishing house Co., Ltd (PMPH) was founded on June 1, 1953. Over the past 65 years, PMPH has been consistently developing and growing into a large professional medical publishing company, producing over 4000 titles of publications per year, which include medical textbooks, monographs, examination preparation books, popular science books, periodicals, newspapers, digital publications and foreign language books occupying more than 40% market share in the domestic pharmaceutical market. PMPH has continually led the way in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) book publication throughout Asia. PMPH keeps its development enriching and broadening, in 2016, PMPH Group was found covering the area of exhibition, hotel, investment, international trade, digital technology, media and cultural transmission. Over 1300 people are employed in PMPH Group.
PMPH represents specialization, modernization and internationalization, and has been awarded almost 800 honors for both the company and products. From the official news, PMPH ranks 4th in the comprehensive evaluation of nationwide book publishers, ranks 3rd in the comprehensive evaluation of the federal publishing organizations, and ranks 1st among publishers of science and technology, and medicine. According to the evaluation report of Outsell, the international media evaluation authority, PMPH ranks 7th out of 50 international publishers of science, technology and medicine. From the Citation Report of Chinese Publishing Companies released by the Chinese government for the first time, which showed PMPH ranks 1st in total number of citation and 2nd in impact factor.
With more than 60 years of unremitting exploration, PMPH have improved the international influence and competitiveness, steadily implementing the strategy of internationalization. PMPH takes full advantages of the two markets and resources of domestic and international to promote PMPH?s brand globally. In 2008, PMPH acquired BC Decker?a Canadian Medical publisher and established its own American company?PMPH-USA, aiming to realize both social and economic benefits by exporting capital, staff, copyright, publications and the concepts as well. PMPH has established close relationship with well-known international publishers, quite a large number of excellent medical books has been translated into Chinese and published in China, and meanwhile, PMPH?s excellent works have been translated into other languages and sold all around the world. In addition, PMPH is the only WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Information and Publishing.
