Special issue on sustainable development in the context of climate change: achievements, challenges and prospects

Introduction:

Due to the effects of global climate change, sustainable development has become an international concern. Public development policies have played an important role in promoting sustainable development globally, particularly through the implementation of numerous integrated development programmes and projects. The effectiveness of these programmes deserves to be analysed and assessed. This special issue focuses on the achievements of social science research on issues related to economic and social development. We invite both original research papers and review papers that examine sustainable development in the context of climate change. We also welcome comparative studies and methodological papers that align with the topics of this special issue.

  • Impacts and challenges of global climate change and regional ecological responses
  • Institutional economy and governance
  • Value chain and resilient agriculture
  • Public policies and development approaches
  • Agricultural development theories, methodology and models
  • Resources exploitation and utilisation
