Introducing a New Biomedical Synthetic Biology Research Center

East China Normal University (ECNU) has founded a new Biomedical Synthetic Biology Research Center to stimulate ground-breaking multidisciplinary research.

On 20 April 2019, the Biomedical Synthetic Biology Research Center of ECNU was opened by Xuhong Qian, President of East China Normal University and Director of the new Center, and Prof. Haifeng Ye, Executive Director.

Many prominent academics and more than 400 young Chinese and international scientists of domestic and overseas attended the opening ceremony.

ECNU is leading the way in mammalian synthetic biology and medical synthetic biology research and the founding of the center is an important step in further strengthening research in the field.
