Professor Xiaolong Chen is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a professor at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow and recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, with multiple national‑level academic honors and awards. He has made important contributions to crystal growth and physical‑property characterization of wide‑band‑gap semiconductors and the exploration of novel electromagnetic functional materials. He has published more than 470 peer‑reviewed papers, formulated 3 national standards, and holds over 70 authorized invention patents including 6 international patents.
