Professor Xutang Tao is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor at Shandong University. He formerly headed the Institute of Crystal Materials and the State Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials. His research interests lie in laser and nonlinear‑optical crystals, wide‑band‑gap semiconductors, and organic‑inorganic hybrid perovskite optoelectronic materials. He has published over 500 SCI‑indexed papers, was among Elsevier’s Most Cited Chinese Researchers (2014‑2018), and received multiple provincial‑ministerial science and technology awards.
