Computer-Human Interaction and Intelligence publishes research on the design, understanding, and evaluation of interactive computing systems in the age of artificial intelligence. The journal provides an interdisciplinary venue for work that advances the theory, methods, technologies, and applications of computer-human interaction, with particular emphasis on the emerging forms of interaction enabled by AI, intelligent agents, robotics, and new computing paradigms.
The journal emphasizes the human element in interactive intelligent systems and the broader technological and social contexts in which people communicate, collaborate, learn, make decisions, and act with computational systems. It is especially concerned with how intelligent technologies can be designed, deployed, and studied in ways that are human-centered, effective, trustworthy, inclusive, and socially beneficial.
The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, methodological, and system-oriented contributions related to interactive computing and intelligence, including, but not limited to:
Human-AI interaction
Human-robot interaction
Intelligent User Interface
Interactive hardware
Computational interaction
Interaction techniques and modalities
Spatial computing and XR
Accessibility, aging, health, and inclusive interaction
User-centered evaluation
Visualization and visual interaction
Social computing, CSCW, and collaboration
The journal publishes original articles, reviews, and other scholarly contributions that advance both foundational understanding and practical innovation in computer-human interaction and intelligence.

The Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISCAS) is a comprehensive research institution dedicated to the research and development of computer science theories and leading-edge software technologies. Founded on March 1st, 1985, it is located in Beijing, China.
ISCAS serves as a pilot unit of the CAS Knowledge Innovation Program and houses multiple State Key Laboratories and National Engineering Research Centers. The institute has established three major research systems: the basic research system in frontier areas, the High-Tech research system, and the application research system, all led by several State Key Laboratories and National Engineering Research Centers. Specializing in fields such as computer science, software engineering, and computer application technology, ISCAS comprises the Basic Research Department, High-Tech Research Department, Applied Research Department, Software Development Research Department, and General Department. Additionally, ISCAS sponsors four academic journals: the Journal of Software, Journal of Chinese Information Processing, Computer Systems & Applications, and International Journal of Software and Informatics.
