Special issue on data security in IoT-based smart cities
Published 16 November, 2021
With the continuous development of the Internet of Things (IoT) and the ever-increasing number of mobile devices, major cities around the world increasingly regard the construction of smart cities as the main direction of urban development. Data science is the concept of learning, processing and extracting valuable content from a set of information. The development of data mining, knowledge discovery and machine learning continues to promote the improvement and progress of this data science. However, due to the continuous occurrence of various security incidents such as unauthorised access, malware attacks, data leakage, etc., cyber crimes cause huge losses to the global economy every year. Data security has aroused widespread concern and discussion among researchers. As an important role of IoT-based smart city construction, data science network security needs to be paid special attention. This special issue presents papers exploring the protection of data, and user privacy, and the prevention of various threats in different stages of data science in IoT-based smart cities.
Topics covered:
- Secure data aggregation in IoT-based smart cities
- Secure data analysis in IoT-based smart cities
- Data sharing security for IoT devices in smart cities
- Risk resistance for data science in IoT-based smart cities
- Artificial intelligence for IoT security
- Cyber security models based on machine learning
- Collusion-resistant IoT-based smart city systems
- Authentication mechanisms in IoT-based smart cities
- Data, location and identity privacy protection in IoT-based smart cities
- Dynamic and fine-grained privacy-preserving schemes for smart cities
