Call for young editorial board members of Data Science and Management

Data Science and Management (DSM) is a quarterly academic journal sponsored by Xi’an Jiaotong University. DSM focuses on the leading-edge theory, methodology and technology of data science and their research and applications in the field of management. The mission of DSM is to advance research in data science and its application in the field of business, engineering, social management, etc. Focusing on the interdisciplinary field of data science and management science, DSM highlights the theoretical method of data science to solve the management problems in digitalization, networking and intelligentization, as well as the key problems in economic and social transformation. DSM has been listed in FMS Journal Rating Guide (International Journals) and indexed by Scopus and DOAJ databases.

In order to further improve the quality of DSM, expand its global influence and provide a broader academic platform for young scholars, the editorial office is recruiting young editorial board members at home and abroad. This is a wonderful opportunity for young scholars to exchange the latest ideas, comment on peer work, and practice editorial board management.

Qualifications

• PhD or an associate professor title (or equivalent title)
• Under the age of 45
• High academic attainments (first or corresponding author of research papers on prestigious journals; experiences in high-level research projects)
• Ability to organize manuscripts and special issues/special topics
• Enthusiasm for the journal and its development
• Ability to solicit andreview papers, plan special issues, publicize and promote the journal, etc.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in peer review of the journal
• Organize cutting-edge special issues and invite manuscripts from well-known research teams in relevant subject areas
• Write or recommend at least one high-level manuscript during the term of office
• Participate in academic exchange activities sponsored by the journal including the planning and organization of relevant academic conferences
• Actively promote the journal and work with the editorial office for the journal’s new media platform, including providing materials and ideas for research content and contacting relevant experts
