Energy and Safety Science aims to become a leading international forum for the dissemination of high-quality research on safety-related issues across all energy systems. It seeks to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and integrate knowledge from engineering, materials science, chemistry, environmental science, medicine, and management. The journal will facilitate the translation of research into practice, supporting the development of safer, more resilient, and sustainable energy infrastructures worldwide.

The journal covers theoretical, experimental, and applied research related to safety in energy systems, including but not limited to:

  • Hazard mechanisms and risk assessment in conventional and new energy systems

  • Intelligent monitoring, early warning, and emergency response technologies

  • Occupational health and safety in energy operations

  • Fire, explosion, and leakage prevention in energy storage and transport

  • Resilience and sustainability of energy infrastructure

  • Policy, regulation, and standardization in energy safety

China Occupational Safety and Health Association (COSHA) is the oldest and largest national social organization in the fields of work safety, occupational health, and emergency management in China. Operating under the guidance of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the National Health Commission, COSHA has long been committed to policy research, standard formulation and revision, cultivation of disciplinary talents, hosting of science and technology awards, promotion of scientific and technological achievements, and international exchange and cooperation within these sectors. The association has joined several international organizations such as the Asia-Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization.
