Energy and Safety Science aims to become a leading international forum for the
dissemination of high-quality research on safety-related issues across all energy systems. It
seeks to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and integrate knowledge from engineering,
materials science, chemistry, environmental science, medicine, and management. The journal
will facilitate the translation of research into practice, supporting the development of safer,
more resilient, and sustainable energy infrastructures worldwide.
The journal covers theoretical, experimental, and applied research related to safety
in energy systems, including but not limited to:
Hazard mechanisms and risk assessment in conventional and new energy systems
Intelligent monitoring, early warning, and emergency response technologies
Occupational health and safety in energy operations
Fire, explosion, and leakage prevention in energy storage and transport
Resilience and sustainability of energy infrastructure
Policy, regulation, and standardization in energy safety
