Innovation Health is a peer-reviewed, international, open-access, and interdisciplinary academic journal that focuses on bridging interdisciplinary technological innovation with evidence-based health practice, and driving paradigm shifts in nursing science, public health, health behavior, digital health, and rehabilitation. It welcomes submissions from researchers across a broad range of disciplines, including nursing, public health, clinical medicine, social work, biomedical engineering, computer science, health economics, and health policy. It is aiming to report first-class original research and top reviews in smart health technologies and multidisciplinary health interventions, and builds an international academic communication platform to address the severe challenges of global population aging, the escalating burden of chronic diseases, and the reconfiguration of healthcare resources, with particular emphasis on “intelligent technology enabling proactive health” and “multidisciplinary integrated systemic health interventions.”

This journal contains four sections:

Section A (Clinical Nursing Technology and Innovation): This section focuses on the development and application of disruptive technologies in nursing practice, including but not limited to embodied intelligent nursing robots, explainable decision-support systems, and the clinical integration of IoT-based monitoring. It particularly pays attention to cutting-edge solutions that enhance nursing efficiency, reduce occupational exposure risks, and improve patient safety.

Section B (Digital Health and Smart Nursing Ecosystems): This section focuses on the application of generative AI large language models in nursing education and management, health data mining, digital therapeutics, and health data privacy and interoperability. It critically examines the role of digital health technologies in optimizing health services, building smart nursing ecosystems, and supporting global health governance, while also paying close attention to the ethical, regulatory, and sustainability challenges of AI-assisted health service delivery.

Section C (Population Health and Behavioral Interventions): This section focuses on population-based disease prevention and health behavior change technologies, integrating epidemiological methods, behavioral science theories, and primary healthcare principles. Centered on population health management, it delves into innovative technologies such as health risk assessment, lifestyle interventions, self-management of chronic conditions, and adherence enhancement, promoting deep synergy and integration between health promotion technologies, public health systems, and community health services.

Section D (Mental Health and Health Promotion): This section focuses on the prevention of mental health issues and related health promotion topics, including risk assessment and early prevention; mental health promotion programs for diverse populations (adolescents, older adults, perinatal women, individuals with chronic illnesses, healthcare workers, etc.); mental health education and health literacy enhancement in community and school settings; rehabilitation nursing, medication adherence management, and social function reconstruction for patients with mental disorders; and the application of positive psychology in mental health nursing.
