Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity Achieves CiteScore 8.2 and First Impact Factor of 3.5

Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity (ISSN: 2588-9338) is pleased to announce that the journal has received a CiteScore of 8.2, ranking in the Q1 quartile across all five subject categories in which it is listed: Safety Research; Public Health, Environmental and Occupational Health; Safety, Risk, Reliability and Quality; Infectious Diseases; and General Immunology and Microbiology.

On June 17, 2026, Clarivate released the 2025 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), in which Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity received its first Impact Factor of 3.5 and was placed in the Q1 quartile in the Public, Environmental & Occupational Health category.

These metrics draw on citation data from the Scopus and Web of Science databases, offering valuable benchmarks for evaluating the journal's academic influence and guiding future editorial development.
