Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity Inaugural Best Paper Award

We are delighted to announce that the Editorial Board of the Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity has established an Annual Best Paper Award to recognize and celebrate exceptional scholarship published in the journal. This award is intended to honor authors whose work has made a significant contribution to the field and to the journal's mission.

Award Scope and Eligibility

The award will be conferred upon papers published in the 2025 volume (all issues). All articles published during that calendar year are automatically eligible for consideration

Selection Criteria

Papers will be evaluated based on the following two core criteria:

The selection process will be led by the Editorial Board, whose decision will be final.

Award Prizes

• First Prize (1 paper): A free publication voucher for one future Article or Review, plus a Certificate of Recognition.
• Second Prize (1 paper): A 50% publication fee discount for one future Article or Review, plus a Certificate of Recognition.
• Third Prize (1 paper): A 50% publication fee discount for one future Article or Review, plus a Certificate of Recognition.

All winning authors will receive an official certificate honoring their outstanding contribution to the journal.

Key Dates

Evaluation Period: Now – December 31, 2026

(All eligible papers will be reviewed during this period.)

Announcement of Winners: January 2027

(Winners will be notified individually and the results will be published on the journal website.)
