Journal of Geomechanics and Measurements aims to promote scientific research in geomechanics with a focus on measurements for rock, soil, concrete, geotextiles, and other geological materials, encompassing theories, methods, technologies, equipment, procedures, and applications. It covers laboratory tests, field detection, geological investigation, engineering monitoring, and geophysical prospecting, emphasizing on the subsequent processes of data analysis, result interpretation, and performance evaluation, using mathematical statistics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

This journal contains six sections:

Section A (Experiments): Laboratory and field physicomechanical property tests, as well as physical simulation experiments, on geotechnical materials such as rock, soil, and concrete. It includes relevant experimental theories, methods, technologies, equipment, procedures, and applications, along with data analysis, result interpretation, and performance evaluation based on experimental data.

Section B (Monitoring): Engineering monitoring for all projects involving geomechanics, such as water conservancy and hydropower engineering, transportation engineering, oil and gas engineering, mining engineering, municipal engineering, and energy storage engineering, as well as engineering evaluation based on monitoring data.

Section C (Measurements): Engineering measurements involving geomechanics, such as geodetic surveying, remote sensing measurement, photogrammetry, inertial measurement, acoustic emission, laser measurement, and magnetic measurement; as well as engineering evaluation based on measurement data.

Section D (Inspection): Research and inspection of new geotechnical materials, including rock bolts, anchor cables, grouting slurries, sealants, buffer layers, geotextiles, and modifiers.

Section E (Testing Instruments and New Technologies): Testing instruments and new technologies related to geomechanics, such as true/ordinary triaxial test equipment, complex stress path test equipment, complex shear test equipment, multi-field coupling test equipment, large-scale physical simulation test equipment, and in situ test equipment.

Section F (New Analytical Methods for Test Data): Data analysis, result interpretation, and performance evaluation using new analytical methods, such as mathematical statistics, big data, deep learning, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, based on test data.
