Special issue on fire science and public safety

Published 13 June, 2022

Introduction:

Professor Weicheng Fan will turn 80 in 2023. This special issue of Journal of Safety Science and Resilience will celebrate that milestone birthday and honour his long and prolific career. Papers are invited on any topic related to the scope of the journal – fire science and public safety. The only additional criterion is that the research described in the paper must have been motivated by some aspect of Prof. Fan’s own work. This link to his work should be briefly explained in your introduction and his relevant paper(s) should be cited in your manuscript.

Please pass this call for papers on to any personal contacts you think might be interested in submitting a paper. If we receive a large volume of submissions, the journal editorial team will decide which papers appear in the special issue, and consider the remaining submissions for publication in a regular issue of the journal. Prof. Fan is aware of this special issue and is, in his own words, “surprised, honoured and grateful for this recognition from his colleagues”.
