Introduction:
The Pedestrian and Evacuation Dynamics conference 2027 (PED 2027) will be held September 26th-29th, 2027 in Beijing, China. Authors of high-quality papers presented at the conference will be invited for submission to a Special Issue of Journal of Safety Science and Resilience.
This special issue encourages origin research papers and comprehensive review articles that deliver substantial, novel advancement to both theoretical frameworks and practical application of Pedestrian Dynamic.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the use of:
- Empirical Studies and Data Acquisition
- Pedestrian Flow Theory and Statistical Analysis
- Model Development, Calibration, and Validation
- Simulation and Scenario-Based Safety Assessment
- Psychological, Behavioral, and Human Factors
- Fire Safety, and Multi-Hazard Safety Research
- Machine Learning, AI, and Data-Driven Pedestrian Dynamics
- Applications to Design, Operations, and Policy
We expect this issue to attract:
- original research articles,
- review papers,
- perspective/discussion papers.
Important Deadlines:
Submission deadline: December 31, 2027
Submission Instructions:
