Special Issue on Healthy Environment and Healing Landscape
Published 05 September, 2025
Introduction:
With the accelerated process of urbanization, issues such as environmental pollution, life stress, and chronic diseases have become increasingly prominent, fueling a growing public desire for a healthy environment. As a low-cost and easily implementable approach to health promotion, nature-based healing has gradually emerged as a hotspot in interdisciplinary research. This special issue aims to explore how natural environments can serve as effective health interventions, with a focus on theoretical frameworks, empirical studies, design practices, and policy integration. We sincerely invite scholars and practitioners from fields such as landscape architecture, landscape design, public health, psychology, and rehabilitation medicine to contribute. Together, we hope to advance the application and development of nature-based healing solutions in healthy city initiatives, contributing methods and pathways to enhance public well-being.
