Metals Advances formerly known as Acta Metallurgica Sinica (English Letters) is a peer-reviewed, international, and interdisciplinary journal that publishes original research articles, reviews, and perspectives in the fields of metallurgy, materials science and engineering.  It mainly focuses on the metal materials and the interdisciplinary connections to this field. The studies which advance the understanding of the relationship between processing, structure, property, and function of metal-related structural and functional materials are of particular interest. Its scope covers the metals and metal-related biomaterials, energy materials, environmental materials, optical materials, electronic materials, nanomaterials, composites, and more.
