Microbiome and One Health is a pioneering, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research that elucidates the critical role of microbiomes at the dynamic interface of human, animal, and environmental health. Our primary aim is to provide a premier interdisciplinary forum that integrates microbiology, veterinary science, medicine, agriculture, and environmental science to advance the One Health paradigm.
We are committed to publishing innovative research that moves beyond siloed descriptions to reveal the mechanistic connections and systemic interactions within and between microbiomes. The journal seeks to translate these insights into practical solutions for global challenges, including zoonotic disease prevention, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) mitigation, sustainable agriculture, and environmental conservation, ultimately fostering improved health outcomes for all.
We welcome original research articles, reviews, short communications, perspectives, and policy analyses. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following themes:
Zoonotic Diseases and Pathogen Transmission
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
Microbiome Interactions and Cross-Species Transmission
Environmental Microbiomes
Food Safety and Security
Climate Change and Planetary Health
Diagnostic, Therapeutic, and Interventional Strategies
Policy, Ethics, and Economics
