Special Issue on Evolutionary Adaptation and Conservation of Plant Diversity in River Valleys
Published 16 April, 2026
To explore the evolutionary and environmental adaptation mechanisms, together with the scientific conservation strategies of plant resources in river valley regions, a special issue on Evolutionary Adaptation and Conservation of Plant Diversity in River Valleys is launched.
Led by Academician Sun Hang, this special issue focuses the formation of river valley flora, species differentiation and adaptive evolution, maintenance mechanisms of genetic diversity, conservation of rare and endangered plants, as well as ecosystem restoration in special river valley habitats.
We invite researchers in botany, ecology, evolutionary biology, conservation biology and related fields to contribute original research articles, reviews and research reports. We look forward to your submissions to jointly advance the research and conservation of plant diversity in river valleys, and to provide theoretical support and practical references for regional biodiversity conservation and ecological civilization construction.
The special issue is scheduled to be published in Plant Diversity, Volume 48.
Important deadlines:
Submissions close: 31 July 2026
Submission instructions:
