Fan Zhang is a Professor at the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to this appointment, she worked as a Research Staff Scientist in the Environmental Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA. Her research interests center on watershed hydrology, especially runoff, soil erosion, sediment transport, and reactive transport modeling. She has co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed papers published in international journals, conference proceedings and books, supervised over 20 graduate students , and participated in collaborative research projects with scholars and institutions across Asia, Europe and North America.
