Jinzhi Ding is an early-career researcher at the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). She earned her Ph.D. from the Institute of Botany, CAS, in 2017. Her research centers on Tibetan permafrost ecosystems and their responses to climate change. She has strong interest in soil carbon cycling, aquatic carbon processes, and ground ice dynamics. By elucidating carbon-climate feedbacks in alpine permafrost regions, her work provides critical insights into these vulnerable systems. Her findings have been featured in leading journals such as Nature, Nature Geoscience, and Science Bulletin.
