Shilong Piao is Cheung Kong Professor of Peking University. His current research integrates remote sensing, ground observations, and ecosystem modelling to address important questions on how terrestrial ecosystems respond to climate change across different spatial and temporal scales. He served as the Lead Author of IPCC's 5th and 6th climate change assessment reports. He has published over 400 papers in peer-reviewed journals, with total citations more than 70,000 times (ISI web of knowledge, H-index: 130).
