Water Power and Water Safety is jointly sponsored by the China Society for Hydropower Engineering (CSHE) and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). By combining the extensive professional network, industry resources and academic platform of the China Society for Hydropower Engineering with the research and educational strengths of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in hydropower, energy, hydrology and water resources, automation and artificial intelligence, the two institutions jointly promote academic exchange, technological innovation and international collaboration in water power and water safety.

The China Society for Hydropower Engineering (CSHE), founded in 1980, is a national, academic and non-profit organization composed of professionals and institutions in the field of hydropower engineering. It is an important force in advancing hydropower science, technology and engineering practice in China.

CSHE is committed to promoting academic exchange and scientific cooperation, advancing innovation and knowledge dissemination in hydropower science and technology, supporting the development of hydropower professionals, and contributing to the high-quality development of clean hydropower. Through its members, specialist committees and academic activities, CSHE facilitates exchange and collaboration among research institutes, universities, engineering organizations and hydropower enterprises.
