ICAN 2027 Adelaide: Registration and Abstract Submission Now Open

We are pleased to announce that the International Conference on Advanced (Nano)composites 2027 (ICAN 2027 Adelaide) will be held from 1–4 February 2027 at Adelaide University, Australia.

Registration and abstract submission are now open. We warmly invite researchers, engineers, industry professionals, postgraduate students and early-career researchers working in composites, nanocomposites and related fields to submit abstracts and join us in Adelaide.

Following the successful launch of ICAN 2025 in Zhengzhou, China, ICAN 2027 will bring together participants from around the world to exchange ideas, present new research and discuss the latest advances in advanced composites and nanocomposites.

ICAN 2027 will be hosted by the School of Chemical Engineering, Adelaide University, together with KeAi Publishing and the journal Advanced Nanocomposites. The conference aims to provide an international platform for academic exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement.

The conference will cover a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

• Processing and manufacturing technologies
• Advanced fibre and matrix systems
• Multifunctional (nano)composites
• Biomedical nanocomposite materials
• Bio-based nanocomposites
• Functionalisation of nanomaterials
• Nanocomposites for energy and environmental applications
• AI-driven design and performance prediction
• Life-cycle assessment and sustainability
• Durability, fatigue and structural health
• Testing, characterisation and standardisation
• Applications in automotive, rail, marine, offshore, wind energy, civil infrastructure, construction, sports equipment and oil and gas sectors

The scientific programme will include plenary lectures, keynote lectures, invited talks, contributed oral presentations and poster sessions. Parallel sessions will also include 5-minute short presentations, providing students with more opportunities to present their work and engage in academic discussion.

A number of conference awards will be presented to recognise outstanding presentations, posters, early-career contributions, industrial applications and high-impact research.
