Announcement: Emerging Contaminants 2025 Outstanding Paper Awards

Nominations are now open for our annual Outstanding Paper Awards. All articles published in Volume 11 (2025) are eligible for consideration. Each winner will receive an APC waiver or discount, together with a digital certificate.

1. Award Details

Award Name: 2025 Outstanding Paper Awards

Prize: Each winner will receive a digital certificate and the following:

• First prize: full APC waiver;
• Second prize: 50% APC discount;
• Third prize: 20% APC discount;

2. Selection Committee

Winners will be selected by a dedicated committee comprising the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors.

3. Award Cycle

The awards will be presented annually for papers published in the preceding volume. The official results of the 2025 Outstanding Paper Awards will be announced in November 2026.

4. Nomination criteria

• All Articles and Reviews published in volume 11 of Emerging Contaminants;
• Papers should have received at least ten citations;
• Each paper will be evaluated across six dimensions: research originality, experimental rigor, societal and practical benefits, significance of the findings, theoretical and conceptual contributions and effectiveness in addressing existing technical challenges.

5. Purpose

The awards aim to recognise and celebrate exceptional research while expressing our sincere appreciation to all contributors advancing the frontiers of knowledge on emerging contaminants.
