Professor at the National University of La Plata (UNLP), supervisor of doctoral research on avian evolution and paleobiology, and researcher at CONICET, based at the Museo de La Plata.
Coordination and participation in geo-paleontological fieldworks in Antarctica (James Ross Basin, Seymour/Marambio Island, Cockburn Island, and South Shetland Islands) and South America (e.g., Patagonia Argentina, Chile). Associate Editor of Advances in Polar Science and Fossil Studies. Member of the EG-GEOCON Geological Heritage and Geoconservation Expert Group of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR).
Her research focuses on the evolutionary study of fossil birds from Antarctica and South America, addressing patterns of diversification, adaptation, and extinction through geological time. Her papers integrate comparative anatomical analyses, with emphasis on osteology, myology, and paleoneurology, with studies of systematics and paleobiology. Through morphometric approaches, functional mechanical analyses, and muscular reconstructions, her studies contribute to the reconstruction of evolutionary history of avian lineages from the Southern Hemisphere, in close association with their paleoenvironmental contexts.
