Specialist in South American native ungulates (Notoungulata, Litopterna, Astrapotheria, Pyrotheria, Xenungulata, and the “Condylarthra” of the families Didolodontidae and Kollpaniinae). Associate Editor of Advances in Polar Science (since 2019). Member of the EG-GEOCON (Geological Heritage and Geoconservation) Expert Group of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR). Expertise in geo-paleontological fieldwork in Antarctica (James Ross Basin, Seymour/Marambio Island, and the South Shetland Islands) and South America (Patagonia, the High Andes, and northwestern Argentina).
