Minghu Ding, born in 1983. In the year 2005, he received a Bachelor's degree in science of Geology at Zhejiang University. During 2005-2011, he studied in Institute of Geology and Geophysics CAS; Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute, CAS; Institute of Climate System, CAMS, and received Master degree on paleoclimate and PhD degree on Polar Climatology. After then, he started worked in the CAMS as postdoc, and Senior Professor. Now he is Director and Professor at the Institute of Global Change and Polar Meteorology, CAMS.
Over 190 research papers published, 15 patents granted, and three monographs authored. Editorial board member for Advances in Atmospheric Sciences, Advances in Climate Change Research, Polar Research, etc. Held senior leadership roles in major international and national scientific organizations, including the International Association of Cryospheric Sciences (IACS); the Panel of the Executive Council of WMO on Polar and High-Mountain Observations, Research and Services (PHORS); the Atmosphere Working Group of the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC); the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists of China (APECS China); the China Adventure Association (CAA); and the Chinese Meteorological Society (CMS).
