Mr. Weijia Qin, Researcher, Former director general of the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic Administration. He began to participate in China's polar research in the 1980s and has long been engaged in the organization, management and implementation of polar research. He has successively participated in, organized and implemented key projects such as the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" capacity building and renovation of the Great Wall Station and Zhongshan Station, the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" construction of Taishan Camp and Kunlun Station in the Chinese Antarctic, the construction of the "Xuelong 2" polar research icebreaker, and the site selection of the Qinling Station in Antarctic. Engaged built Chinese Yellow River station in Arctic. He has also participated in the organization of national polar strategies and the national polar science and technology development plan. He has long been committed to the systematic and engineering research of polar research activities and their application and transformation.
